Continuing Education Course for Professionals

3.25 NBCC CE hours

This home study program is designed for therapists and mental health professionals who support clients experiencing attachment-based distress, relational instability, shame, self-worth struggles, compulsive coping, disordered eating patterns, anxiety, depression, or difficulty sustaining change.

Drawing from attachment theory and clinical practice, Kelly McDaniel introduces Mother Hunger as a framework for understanding the impact of lost nurturance, protection, and guidance. Participants learn how early disruptions in maternal care may shape emotional regulation, relational patterns, and clinical presentation across the lifespan.

This course includes recorded video instruction, required reading, a learning assessment, course evaluation, and certificate of completion.

Includes 3.25 NBCC CE hours.

Self-Paced Video Series for Personal Reflection

This course is for readers and members of the Mother Hunger community who want to explore Mother Hunger more deeply.

Through video teaching, reflection exercises, and gentle body-based practices, Kelly helps participants understand how early experiences of care, safety, responsiveness, and guidance shape the way we relate to ourselves, our bodies, our needs, and other people.

Participants will explore the three essential elements of mothering: nurturance, protection, and guidance, and begin to understand how unmet needs can affect longing, self-worth, relationships, grief, and the path toward repair.

Please note: This course is educational and reflective. It is not therapy, clinical consultation, or a substitute for mental health care. This course does not provide continuing education credit.
